Hi, my name is George Saavedra. I’m a painter, animator, and a visual effects artist currently living in Los Angeles. My work currently focuses primarily on painting, portraiture, while exploring themes of intimacy and sensuality, although this can change at any given time. My muses tend to hand me off from one another pretty frequently, which I’ve come to find this keeps things fresh for me, almost feeling like a kid discovering something for the first time over and over.
I was born in Miami, aka the305! And shortly after college I moved out to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Visual Effects. Working on movies and commercials is definitely a fun way to put food on the table (and booze in my belly : ) Living in LA has been an amazing adventure through and through. Over the last year I’ve shown in several gallery shows throughout LA, including: The New Puppy Gallery, The Lighting in a Bottle Festival, and Cannibal Flower.
